Our local Kroger offers quadruple rewards on giftcards. My friend bought Lowes' hardware giftcards to buy a new fridge. She and her husband then drive both cars and park on opposite sides of one pump and fill up both cars to take full advantage of $1 off per gallon. Can't get any smarter than that!!

That's great! One of my local stores mentioned in the post, Giant, does that, too. You have to accumulate more to be able to redeem the gas rewards ($100 = $.10 off per gallon), but at least every purchase is adding up!

This article is full of great ideas; but I can't "choose a freezer" at this point... I have a pull-out wire drawer freezer, which seems harder to organize. If I could figure out how to make a divider or 2 for it, I would be doing much better.

It is full of freezer bags - of organic flour, oats, blueberries, pesto cubes, etc. I reuse the bags as much as possible - at least if it contained dry food.

I like the idea of shaping cookies and flash freezing them, but in the past I have just wrapped extra dough in plastic wrap and put it in a reused (and re-labeled) freezer bag. Unbaked scones is my latest favorite, and shaped biscuit dough might work as well.

Thanks for the wonderful ideas!
